2. Hosting with GitHub Pages
This website is hosted using GitHub Pages. When a GitHub Pages site is visited, GitHub states that the visitor's IP address is logged and stored for security purposes. GitHub may also process technical usage information such as device and session information, the date and time of requests, pages viewed and referring-site information.
The purpose of this processing is the secure and reliable delivery of the website. Where processing is attributable to me as the website operator, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure, stable and efficient provision of this website.
GitHub states that personal data may be processed in the European Union, the United States and other countries. For transfers from the EU to countries without an adequacy decision, GitHub states that it generally relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and also participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
3. No analytics, advertising or tracking
I do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, Matomo or comparable analytics services. The site does not contain advertising trackers, marketing pixels or behavioural profiling tools.
4. Cookies, local storage and Collision Lab
This website itself does not set non-essential cookies and does not use localStorage or similar browser storage for Collision Lab. Collision Lab runs entirely in the browser and does not call external APIs.
5. Fonts and other site assets
No Google Fonts or other third-party font service is loaded. The site's Glacial Indifference display font is embedded locally in the website stylesheet. CSS, JavaScript, images and other website assets are served without third-party content delivery networks. This avoids additional requests to external providers merely to display the site.
6. Email contact
If you contact me by email, I process the information you send in order to respond to your message. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or, where the communication concerns possible contractual arrangements, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. I keep correspondence only for as long as it is needed for the relevant purpose or as required by applicable law.
7. External links
The site contains links to third-party websites, including research sources, GitHub-hosted projects and LinkedIn. No content from those services is embedded on this website. Data is transmitted to a third party only when you follow an external link; the privacy policy of that third party then applies.
8. Your rights
Subject to the requirements of the GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.
